NDIS Services
Anchor Point Mental Health provides social work services to NDIS participants, supporting individuals to build skills, improve wellbeing, and increase independence in everyday life.
How to Access Services Through the NDIS
Anchor Point Mental Health can be accessed through the NDIS, depending on your plan type and available funding.
NDIS-Funded Supports
If you have funding in your NDIS plan, you may be able to access social work services under:
Capacity Building supports (e.g. counselling, therapy supports)
With this funding, you can:
Choose your preferred social worker
Use your NDIS funding to pay for sessions directly
All supports must align with your individual NDIS goals and approved funding categories.
Self-Managed or Plan-Managed Participants
If your plan is self-managed or plan-managed, you have greater flexibility in how you access services:
Self-Managed:
You can access services from registered or non-registered providers
Pay for sessions upfront
Claim the cost back through your NDIS funding
Plan-Managed:
Your plan manager will process and pay invoices on your behalf
This is the most common pathway for accessing services and allows for greater choice and flexibility.
Who We Support
We support NDIS participants living with:
Psychosocial disability and mental health conditions
Anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation challenges
Trauma and complex life experiences
Neurodivergence, including Autism and ADHD
Social, emotional, and functional skill development needs

A Holistic, Real-World Approach
Social work takes a broader view of mental health. This means understanding not only what someone is experiencing, but also the impact on their:
Relationships and family systems
Work, school, and daily responsibilities
Environment and support networks
At Anchor Point Mental Health, support is practical, person-centred, and focused on creating meaningful change both in and outside of sessions.
How We Work
Services draw on evidence-based approaches and are tailored to each individual’s needs. This may include:
Counselling and focused psychological strategies
Emotional regulation and coping skill development
Trauma-informed support
Psychoeducation and practical strategies
Family support and collaboration where appropriate
Sessions can take place at home, or within the community to support comfort, accessibility, and real-world application.
Working Alongside Your Supports
Social work complements other supports such as psychology, occupational therapy, and support services. Where needed, we work collaboratively with families, support coordinators, and other professionals to ensure consistent, well-rounded care.
